On Saturday, January 25, the Pryor Children's Choir took 40 of its 4th and 5th grade members to Owasso, OK, to participate in the Circle the State with Song music festival. These young vocalists joined 300 students from across the region, blending their voices in two- and three-part harmonies to perform a repertoire of seven choral pieces, including songs in Spanish and Swahili.
Among the 40 students representing Pryor, 18 were from Roosevelt Elementary, showcasing the school's strong commitment to musical excellence. The Pryor Children's Choir has been rehearsing every Wednesday after school since September in preparation for this event.
The choir season will conclude with a special concert on February 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pryor High School Avra Performing Arts Center. The community is invited to attend and experience the beautiful harmonies these talented young singers have worked so hard to perfect.
