group of students at nordam

Pryor High School aviation students recently toured NORDAM, an aviation repair facility headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The visit offered students a hands-on look into the daily operations of one of the world’s largest independently owned aerospace companies.

During the tour, NORDAM representatives guided the students across the production floor, sharing insights into the processes and technology that drive the facility’s day-to-day work. Students were then given the opportunity to try their hands at measuring 3D printed forms using the same precision tools employed by NORDAM engineers.

According to the NORDAM website, the company boasts “a diverse team of aerospace specialists, leading-edge facilities and equipment.” Their divisions include “engineering, manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing components for business jets, commercial aircraft, satellites, and military warfighters around the globe.”

This experience gave Pryor students a valuable glimpse into the wide range of career opportunities available in aviation and aerospace industries—many of which are right here in Oklahoma.
