The Pride of Pryor marched into their first contest of the season on Saturday, September 27, traveling in style aboard the district’s new activity buses to the Stallion Battalion Invitational in Oologah. And they returned with their strongest results at this competition since 2018!
In preliminary performance, the Pride earned 3rd place in Class 5A, finishing behind Claremore and Carthage, Missouri. The band also captured multiple caption awards, including:
2nd place – Drum Majors (Class 5A)
2nd place – Percussion (Class 5A)
3rd place – Color Guard (Class 5A)
Out of 16 total bands competing, the Pride secured an impressive 3rd place overall finish.
When the competition advanced to Finals, the Pride climbed even higher, earning 2nd place overall. This marks the band’s highest finish at the Stallion Battalion Invitational in seven years.
The Pride of Pryor continues to build momentum this season, showcasing the dedication, talent, and teamwork of its students and directors.
